a- Eddie Mathews
b- Derek Jeter
c- Nolan Ryan
d- Josh Beckett

Jeter is second among actives, with more votes than Eddie Mathews. Nolan Ryan is third all-time, and Beckett is eighth among actives.

That is a great question. I'm too fried to really think about it, but I'd guess Derek Jeter for B and Nolan Ryan for C.

(I initially posted this before looking at EC's reply. Like Jeter and Ryan, I'm close, but not a winner.)

Just looked up the answers, excellent (and fun) question.

The pitcher who's 37th in career Cy Young shares (and fourth among non-winners) I never, ever, ever would have guessed, though I saw his entire career.
