wondering how many women actually "sleep their way" to things

moving to Hollywood and hearing a ton of purely ridiculous stories about said sorts of situations has made me wonder exactly the same thing.

i mean television tells us SOMEONE is doing it. i demand to know who and when and what they were compensated for it. i'm tempted to take a pledge of celibacy until the exchange values are revealed. part of me feels like why should i short change myself if i can get tangible stuff for *ahem* that?

Yes, the human condition sucks, but it sucks sublimely so... it is terrible, terrorisingly dreadful. Maybe that's the attraction.

Or, as Schelling put it, the Ugly is not the opposite of the Beautiful; it is much worse than that, it is primary.

In that case here's a book you should check out: The Abyss of Freedom / Ages of the World (1997) by Slavoj Zizek and F. W. J. von Schelling

The women-sleeping-with-men for corporate power in a company idea is in the same boat as me as "just how many young people are having sex? are they even having sex? if they are, how come I'm not?"

In that, I do my best to ignore them because they throw me into an existential crisis about what is and is not taboo and whether or not it's OK that maybe compared to today's average teenager, I have had very little sexual experience.

I remember in college having the brain storm that probably a good chunk of my high school friends had been having sex. It was a shock. When? Where? I couldn't sort out how they could've been doing this without me even noticing. Of course, I never even kissed anyone until my freshmen year of college so I was pretty unawares about all of that stuff ( ... )
