It's just really rare to find such sophisticated songwriting and lyrics as are found on his first album, "Thinking Underage", released when he was 16. Especially when I think about douches like Justin Beiber being praised as being "precociously talented." Can't write, doesn't play .... hmmm ... doesn't fit my criteria, that's for sure!
Full disclosure: I have a 13 y/o, so am bombarded by shitty Disney music constantly.
Oh, and I have worn out 3 copies of "Telegraph," and "It's Only Time" stays in my automobile 24/7. Sadly, Drake's next album has been delayed as long as Teddy's sophomore album ... but like TG, Drake has quite a few songs on YouTube he's written for the next album (rumored to be a double album?), and you can rip the audio from the vids at mp3ify.com Have fun!
