Oh, and I have no idea about whether you can hook it up to a projector. But I have downloaded an application that turns it into an ocarina, and I've seen someone draw Chinese characters on the touch screen and have them instantly convert to phonetic Chinese text.

The contract length didn't bother me at all - I'd been with Rogers for a few years, Mr E Man has been with them for like 10 years, and we have no plans to switch... and I'm not incurring any extra data charges yet, despite being practically glued to it at all times. The other day I pulled it out of my bag to make a call, and stared at the screen for about 20 seconds before I remembered how to actually make a call... too used to using it as a browser / GPS / iPod / camera.

Hey, I put Mr E Man's Samsung phone through the laundry yesterday, and it was working again within a couple of hours. I don't think the iPhone would survive that treatment...

It is possible to connect an iPhone to a projector, but it mainly depends on the projector and the cables provided.
Apple provides vga cables to connect iPods with video capability to display units such as TVs. Should the projector provided have vga input (red, white, yellow for video and audio), then it is likely that you will be able to use an iPhone with the projector.
