T/J quote a day keeps boredom away! #05

Unfortunately, today's part is going to be rather short. I need to concentrate on my academic life for a while, and I can no longer postpone turning in the next chapter of my MA thesis and completing an essay on the history of women in the work force. Does anyone know any good publications about the history of feminism and women in the labour force ( Read more... )

Hi! It's me from the ricstar comm. Hope you don't mind me dropping in. :)

Just last night I was reading through the Comic Alliance site and it had a vid up of that same scene - which they had filmed, but they hadn't put into the movie. If it is still on-line, here's the link: http://www.comicsalliance.com/2010/09/23/iron-man-2-alternative-opening-sequence-hits-the-web-video/

I loved the actors in this scene. I love how, in both movies, Tony talks a mile-a-minute and those closes to him will speed up their quips and dialogue as a way to keep up with him (those who don't speed up will be talked over as Tony's mind waits for no man ^_^). Too bad we couldn't really hear Jarvis' voice in the background. (I think you're turning me into a T/J fan!)

Thanks for dropping in! :D

Yup, I also find it hilarious how Tony is able to easily out-talk everyone. XD Or nearly everyone - it usually takes one sentence from Jarvis to make Tony shut up on the spot. It's a fun reversal of one's expectations - one would think that any sentient life form created by Tony Stark would be in for a rather miserable existence. And then one starts to feel sorry for Tony instead - he's obviously not the one wearing pants in that relationship. ;)

I love that. Tony talks and talks and keeps going forward with whatever crazy thing he has in mind, but Jarvis knows what response will make him shut up and think for a second. :)

And HAHA! "Shamethower"... XD

I'm ordering the books on Amazon today. ^_^ Hopefully the service reaches my country, because I haven't found these books on iBooks or Kindle or anything. :P
