Saw the 9pm showing of TF:DotM on Tuesday.
SO GOOOOOODDDD. Worth the $17.25 for IMAX 3D.
Bay didn't lie about an item.
And this film proves there are 2 constants in the TF universe: Optimus Prime will die & come back at least once and that Sentinel Prime (
cut for semi-spoilers )

How, exactly, is Carly less vapid than Mikaela? I'm seriously curious here, because I totally can't see it. She's pointless. Mikaela at least got out and did shit and tried to help.
As to Cybertron... I was kind of irked that I got it wrong and it's actually significantly bigger than Earth. Other than that, I was pleased to see that my honeycomb metaphor was apparently extremely on the nose. WTF did the transport halt the first time the pillar was damaged, though, but cause the planet to implode the second? I ain't buying the whole "it's beyond your physics" excuse; it's Michael Bay wanting to be done with TFs entirely. Cybertron is destroyed, all the Decepticon ( ... )

I must admit I would have preferred Mikaela to Carly, but I didn't hate Carly nearly as much as I thought I would. In fact, couldn't find it in me to hate her at all. I sort of ship her and Megatron now, after that final conversation the two of them had.
I'm mixed about the change regarding Megs as well. I really liked the book ending, and feel like Bay changed the ending to make sure no one ever made another TF film in this 'verse, (though I would guess there are TF Prime films in the future). I do feel that Optimus was completely justified in what he did in the end. Earth *is* his home now, he has made that clear, and they really messed with his home and killed his boyfriend
I loved the little foreshadowing to crazy Sentinel with the 'Spock goes crazy' Star Trek episode that Brains and Wheelie were watching at the beginning.
