Tabloids and Body Image

So, in my time dealing with the magazines at work--taking down old stuff, putting up new stuff, straightening at the end of the night, reshelving, etc.--the headlines on the tabloids like Star, Us Weekly, and In Touch catch my eye because of their annoying fonts and ridiculous accusations. I hear ya! My coworkers read them, so I was flipping through some magazines on my lunch break. In one magazine they were ripping on Zac Efron for getting fat, and in the next magazine they were featuring photos of his newly bulked up muscular body at the beach! But no one remembers what a tabloid says from one week to the next, so they can print total falsities like that and get away with it.

That's ridiculous. I really think that the editors and writers for these magazines don't care at all about what they're publishing, and just want to get paid. :/ So women's body image is being screwed up by people who don't give a shit that they're doing it. Wonderful.
