So, even though I know I need to quit with the riding for a bit, and even though Staro is still technically mine and I keep trying to tell myself that the jury's still out and I've not really decided whether or not to sell him yet, somehow I keep getting drawn to looking at horse for sale ads. And of course, I keep coming across ones I rather like ( Read more... )

Attractive horse, could be fun, but "bit of a project" doesn't really sound like what you're looking for, even if you're looking.

Sounds like that answers the question(s) about Staro, no?

Yeah...I know you're right, guys. Even as I was typing it I thought...hmm. If I'm already looking at other horses, y'know what...I prob'ly want something different, don't I?

(A traitorous little voice inside me keeps chiming up 'depends on what sort of a project it is....' :P )

Heh. Nope. Behave.

Thanks for the offer of a horsey fix, Unicorn! )))HUG((( How is his Smallness doing today?

The way I see it, Zorro's enough to put any normal person off wanting a horse for quite a while!!!

Sorry, that's mean of me - he's apparently being awesome on the clinic.

Seriously (and I'm sure you know this really) you really don't want a 'project' in any shape or form... you need someone sweet and fun and who is happy to be picked up and put down so that if you do have a poorly spell they won't be bothered by a few days off and you can still pick up pretty much where you left off before.

Small is doing ok - they've restarted him on a handful of hay every two hours, so it's a bit wait and see. He seems very bright but i'm finding it a bit hard to be positive because we've been here before and as soon as they up the hay he colics again. So I'm holding my breath a little at the moment.

And the offer is always open - you're welcome to visit any time, we'd love to see you!
