I'm getting into Iron Maiden and Black Flag. And my friends all like, "You just wanna be like them." But its not like that. I was curious how the guys were so influenced by them, and I totally get it.
So I may have looked them up because of My Chem, but i sure as hell didn't force myself to like them. I mean, isn't seeing other people's taste and seeing if you like it how you find good music in the first place?

:D:D:D dude, yes! cause like, its damn good music! black flag! yus. i used to skate to them, so definitely im not really into iron maiden though. im just not a metal fan, but a lot of my friends think they're the best band ever.
I think we may have a had a slightly similar revelation. I wanted to impress people last year...didnt work obviously because it was the worst year of my life...and then over the summer I started listening to Bouncing Souls...and I swear that the world just started to make a lot more sense :) yay for Bouncing Souls!
My mom knew I liked Bouncing Souls so for xmas she bought me a hoodie and their necklace...my mom is the greatest :)
i know they're so great and easy to understand im all smiles listening to them :D
and thats so sweet! my mom's totally clueless as to what my interests are even after seeing all my mcr artwork :/ and the poster on my wall and how much i blast their cds in the car im starting to think she doesnt give a crap
