Oh, this is so lovely. I love Severus' tenderness and his pride in his daughter, and the thoughtfulness they each show in making concessions that they know are meaningful. I love Heloise, for all of its classical connotations, and I particularly adore the fact that Severus picks it as a warning to would-be suitors. :D

This is sweet in all the best ways.

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it. I rarely write anything in which they're already a couple, and it took me a bit to find my way, but I found it terribly amusing that Severus would choose to label his daughter with a 'hands off or you'll be castrated' sign ... of proper Slytherin subtlety!
