FINALLY.

My family just returned to the States. Apparently I have amnesia, and I got nothing but worried looks for the duration of their visit. Mom stayed a few extra days, watching me and looking worried. Before she left, she asked again if I needed to go to the "spell damage ward" where I guess I'm supposed to work. I barely talked her out of staying ( Read more... )

Seriously, is this some sort of worldwide prank? Did it become April Fools while I wasn't looking :(

Last I heard it's still August. Otherwise I celebrated my birthday awfully early.

Ugh, this stuff doesn't happen in real life. Owls don't show up at your doorstep, telling you to come to some random wizarding boarding school in England.

The owl was talking? I thought that only parrots did that.

Happy Birthday.

Also, if the dog starts acting like fleeing in terror is a good idea... probably a good idea.

Just, animals are pretty aware of this sorta thing.

Thanks.

...Do you expect fleeing in terror to be likely?

It isn't something you should go out into the world expecting, but planning for it is a good thing.

Hope for the best but prepare for the worst just in case?

I'm glad your family was there for you! I still haven't been able to get in contact with my parents, so I'm more than a little jealous.

Okay, a "spell damage ward" sounds more scary than helpful, honestly.

I hope you hear from them soon.

Supposedly there is a magical hospital. If magic exists, it causes the same sort of mishaps and catastrophes that anything else does, and there's a place to get that taken care of. Being hospitalized really didn't sound appealing though, especially if I ought to know everyone who works there and I don't.

Well, magic existing would definitely explain a lot of the happenings around me the past couple weeks. Almost too convenient, honestly.

As far as that hospital, if you work there and everyone knows you, they'd probably be even more likely to help you. But, I definitely understand your trepidation.

Yeah, it explains a lot. Even so, I don't think I'd believe it if I hadn't actually seen it used.

There's not much more uncomfortable than not knowing something or someone you should. It makes me feel vulnerable, plus I really don't like hospitals. I wouldn't mind if I were helping other people, but there for myself, with nothing useful to do? No thanks.

Plus they probably wouldn't let me bring Kei.
