Ooh, that was neat. I can see Gadre-el, from his long, long confinement, simply standing outside in the snow and being bewitched by it. By the way the wind moves the trees, by the way the light shines on the ice crystals. But how it *feels*, because cold, heat, sensation of any kind, that's all new.

Pitiful, in one way, but infuriating in another, because what is he doing to Sam? Look what he's doing to Sam!!

Yaaaassss. I never once hated Gadreel for doing what he did. (I never once hated Dean either, to be honest.)

I really love fics that deal with this time period, with everything about it all. With Dean's conflicted conscience, with Gadreel's hunger for freedom, with Sam's painful fear that once again, there's Something Wrong With Him™. I know a lot of Sam fans were infuriated, and I certainly don't think Show dealt with it in the best way it could've, but hey, that's why we do what we do in fandom!
