Great interpretation. It was so upsetting to me the way they handled that story line. No way did Sam not break down in some way after Dean disappeared like that. I love the idea that he'd turned to his faith, something he'd, miraculously, never really lost. That he'd have spent all that time praying for Dean's soul to finally be at peace, and for himself to one day be worthy enough to be able to join him.

Sam's unwavering faith has always been a big source of fascination for me, I wish it would've been handled even more thouroughly in the show.

Good Job. It irks me to no end that the show is still beating Sam up about this even so many seasons later. Sam's faith is quiet, but intense, like he is. It would have been interesting if they had gone this route.

Thank you! I know it's late but I just saw your comment now and I'm very glad you liked the story, it has a special place at my heart:)
I'm also not over the obvious blaming of Sam for that. It really surprised me when they brought it up last season although so much time had passed already. They'd never go through the trouble to make right what Sam was wronged for - but - I'm not going there lol. Excuse my bitter self and thanks for your comment!
