Dean couldn't believe he'd done it. Hell, Sam couldn't believe he'd done it.
He hadn't wanted Dad dead. Never ever ever. Not even when he'd thought he had the worst dad in the entire world. And he hated losing Dad now, now that they were just starting to be a family again.
But it was the demon. The demon, the one who'd stolen so much from them. He had it in his sights, and Dad begged him to shoot...
He hadn't even realized his finger was on the trigger until he heard the shot...
He was just following orders....
But somehow, he wasn't sure Dean would understand any more than the judges in Nuremberg had. And even if God could forgive Sam, even if Dean eventually forgave him, he didn't know if he could ever forgive himself.
