...but Cas is nicer in this one.

Cas desperately needs to power up a lot and often to fight his war, and the soul of Lucifer's vessel is the most powerful one around. Sam helps him willingly, but it's still extremely unpleasant and draining.

Brrr. I like the alienness here, and the way Sam is letting himself be used and it is all mixed up with Lucifer and the pit in his mind and Cas's dependence on Sam combined with his powerfulness makes him both more and less human.

Thank you for filling my prompt so awesomely. I can only agree with de_nugis: the way Sam lets himself be used is heartbreaking, and it's facinating and unsettling how Cas remains so alien through this very intimate act.
