I'm not in love with this trailer, but I think it's because it's try way too hard to be something Star Trek isn't with that music.

BUT! There's a few things in the trailer I like. Like Spock and Bones getting stuck on a planet together? An actual space adventure? hft.

I'm gonna remain optimistic for this.

Yeah I feel like they were trying to do some Guardians of the Galaxy shit with that song which is completely unnecessary.

written & directed by Asian men?? (yet JJ gets the big credit ofc) the trailer looks like they put no effort into it but I might actually give this one my money in support, sleigh

It has nothing to do with race in this situation....JJ gets the big credit because he's a way more recognizable name (especially now with TFA) than Justin Lin and they use that to sell the movie.

I'm not interested in this at all but I do like how it's all bright coloring tho since sci-fi movies nowadays keep going with the ~dark theme~
