To be fair, it's based on the true story on which Moby Dick is only loosely based. I personally didn't like Moby Dick at all, but I LOVED the (non-fiction) book of this story. But...alas.

Vacation was always going to be a dud, but I feel like he just got unlucky with both the Michael Mann film and his second Ron Howard film. I guess we'll always have Rush and The Avengers, lol.

Damn it seems like Scarlett and Mark are the only successful actors outside of the Avengers franchise.

But I'm currently marathoning the Star Wars films, I'm about to watch Return of the Jedi soon ♥

I don't think you can compare either of them to the rest of the cast, though, for something like this - they were both stars years before they ever laid eyes on a script for the Avengers/etc. They're still successful outside of those films b/c they were successful without them beforehand.
