can i ask a stupid question? I feel like I don't know how to play sims 4? I've played every sims 1-3 (sims 3 addict)... but I don't get this one. Like time goes by too quickly or they get tired too quickly and my sims never end up meeting their aspirational goals... it's just kinda boring too... I'll probably buy 'get together' idk sigh.
Not a stupid question at all, I get what you are saying. Their needs deplete so quickly in this game. My sims have really weird sleep schedules for this reason, like they'll go to work and then pass out on the lawn when they get back and then wake up at 2am full of energy. And then if you want to be promoted at work, you have to focus on meeting those goals. It's just so off. I wish we could take ts4 create-a-sim and combine it with the gameplay from ts3, then I'd be happy.
Origin is doing some 48 hour free-to-play trial of The Sims 4. I have played The Sims since the beginning but have been boycotting 4 for various reasons. I tried the trial, and I really like some aspects of it, but dislike others. For those of you who play it: has it been improving with each expansion? I think I will like it a lot more once it eventually includes weather, toddlers, and supernatural aspects.
The only expansion we've had before this one is Get to Work and it's fun until you try all of the new features, then it's back to the same boring game. I have a feeling this expansion will be the same way.
For me to enjoy playing TS4, they need to bring back story progression and open neighborhoods. Also toddlers. I don't know why they ever got rid of them in the first place when they're such a big part of family play.
I enjoy it. It has aspects I enjoy and others I don't. I told my boyfriend that it reminds me of a love child of TS2 and TS3. Idk that's the best way to explain it.
