The 90-minute special is titled "The Abominable Bride". It will stand apart from Season 4, which is scheduled to start production this spring, according to BBC.

It will air on the same day (January 1st) in the United States (PBS) and the United Kingdom (BBC One). This is a first for the show.

Me too! And it's so weird because I used to love period stuff when I was a kid, but now I'm so bored. Maybe it's because I realized I would probably be dead if I was alive back then and it wasn't exciting anymore

I remember how much I enjoyed A Study in Pink, and how much I don't like the series now due to various reasons. I need to get series 3 a chance, but I'm kinda but not really excited about this one.
