yes, i really don't mind it if people see their own sexuality as fluid it just gets annoying when they insist on applying to everyone else

and yeah people really put too much thought into it

mte, like i'm 100% down with the sexual fluidity and know that that's the case for tons of people, but my sexuality is absolutely non-flexible.

The concern trolling questions if I ever tried to date a man are annoying to say the least. And then there are always some lovely people who still don't believe you despite you telling them that you in fact did sleep with men before and that it holds the same appeal as washing dishes to you.

And yet people still say things like "wait, she's a lesbian now?!?" if a woman who's dated men even hints that she might be interested in women too. Same with guys -- I love that Tom Hardy made past references to having "played with everything" and is now playing a bisexual character in Legend, so of course the conversation about his TIFF comments is just "TOM HARDY PLAYS GAY CHARACTER BUT IS DEFINITELY NOT GAY HIMSELF, MAYBE." The erasure is real as fuck, y'all.

I totally agree.
It's also frustrating that people don't believe lesbians who have dated men before that they're lesbians. Or that ppl assume bisexuality is 50/50 for everyone and that you are suddenly straight when you date a guy or gay when you date a woman.
I could go on and on lmao hets are annoying.

IA w/ u, henny. I mean, yeah, plenty of people do have hetero relationships before coming out as exclusively gay, but the relationship with Oz was a fairly big plot point and it wouldn't have taken anything away from the narrative or her relationship with Tara to have her defined as bisexual. But that's '90s/early '00s TV for you. :P Looking @ you, Samantha Jones and Santana Lopez.
