I'm trying to think what recent predicament I was in with some of my dumb ass friends that was similar to this.

I think it was when I was trying to explain the difference between they're, their, and there. And they kept swearing the way they were using one of them was right, when they clearly weren't, and I had to be like "Oh god, no..." but they just wouldn't have it.

It was kind of adorable if you take out the fact that we're all in our 20s and they still don't know this shit!

I had this argument with someone at work the other day, she wouldn't believe me that she used the wrong form of "their" and it was driving me crazy because she had to print out all these papers with the word on it and they were all wrong

my boss tried to come at me on grammar once. she said i needed to stop using 'that' and use 'which' when writing correspondence. i didn't say anything, but she went to the next higher-up to complain about it. bitch told me the oxford comma was a lie, too.
