as for big bang theory i wish sheldon would just admit or say he has Autism, for someone who has it, it bothers how they dont say it when he has the signs of it. and same for amy.

We have talked about this in my lab, the representation of autism in the media that is, and we figured that:

a) by not saying that a character has ASD the character is more relatable to a wide range of people
b) the character becomes more of a token

It's a weird situation, because people seem so split on characters like Sheldon if they're actually doing good for the autistic community or harm by perpetuating stereotypes. I've never watched more than two episodes of BBT so I can't really comment on that, but I guess the show makers make it ambiguous for the above reasons and more.

It might be funny to see him go through ADOS though.

They are finally growing everyone in the show, Sheldon is becoming more open to Amy, Penny is becoming more self-aware of her situation, Raj is growing as well.
