Much as I love so many things about Japan, they are monstrous liars. To each other and to themselves.

Also, let's face it, they haven't been called to account for their deeds like the Germans. I doubt many people here have heard of Unit 731. google it, but I warn you, you will find some seriously upsetting shit.

Yet Japan never really had to account for this and some of the monsters who worked for that group are honored at the Yasakune Shrine. And then the Japanese wonder why the Chinese and Koreans get upset.

I often think Japan is suffering today (plunging birth rate, plunging marriage rate, high suicide rate, 2 lost decades) as their karma for what they did and refusal to make amends.

i guess so? i don't know that much about it to be honest, but they do have a shrine that honors war criminals and miyavi himself is saying they don't learn what happened in school
