I just recently watched We Were Here on Netflix, the documentary about the height of the AIDS crisis in San Francisco. It was so powerful. I recommend that everybody watch it, especially people like me who weren't alive at the time. I knew it was a devastating epidemic but I guess I didn't realize just how staggering the death toll figures were. The doc cites something like 15,000 deaths in SF alone. It was an emotional watch but well worth it.

also, Courtney Love's dress looks very uncomfortable.

Watch Silverlake Life: the view from here. It's one of the saddest, yet most beautiful films I have ever seen. If I had to recommend just one film about HIV/Aids it would be this one.

Conchita's painted beard looks like crap and really annoys me. - I hate all painted beards, it always looks so fucked up.I wish she would opt for her natural beard rather than that nasty looking halloween beard.

Before the fangirls come for me saying its natural and that I am a hater or whatever, 1. kiss my ass 2. look at the picture, its either henna dye or eyeshadow but its not his full beard

she always says in interviews that she uses beard paint on her natural beard to make it appear more bigger, she never claimed it was all natural :)

but I do think she is tonig it a litter more down now

I honestly haven't been keeping up with her outside of tumblr, but she does seem like a nice person in the clips Ive seen. I understand if its for the stage since I remember seeing makeup caked on performers or whatever.

Painted beards are just a pet peeve of mine, my dad does to do it all the time to cover the grey and its hideous, the skin around the hair is so perfectly painted - It really doesn't make it look better omg ew
