Have you heard "victim"? I prefer it to "easy" because you can hear Penn more.

But I get what you mean. His voice gets drowned out by the beats in parts of the song.

there's this guy ryan hunter from a band i used to love that started his own project (quiett dog) and stylistically it sounds like something i thought penn would put out if he ever got into music. their voices are different but in essence they're both singers that are doing more experimental~ stuff only i think ryan does it better and it makes me sad penn isn't

anyway idk why i went on that tangent. i just discovered ryan's project yesterday so i'm obsessed with it

Well, I think it's the band's influence on Penn. He did say he likes more R and B music but they wanted him to cut back on the singing to make the songs more "pop"! Hopefully when he gets more confidence he will release some individual work. For now, Mother seems to be getting great reactions so i guess their strategy is working.

I really liked The Pretty Reckless' first album. I've yet to buy the second.
