I only talked to him for all of five minutes once, but he was really nice. :) He wanted to know all about my trip to New York - what was I seeing, had I been before, where was I staying - and recommended a restaurant in the Village for dinner. And he made a joke about him and my mom sharing a birthday with murderer Jesse James. He's a weirdo, but he was nice - I stopped him on the street when he really had no obligation to stand there and talk to me, but he did.
I've met him twice, although the second time was super brief. I'm from Toronto and went down to NYC for both of his plays, in November 2011 and March 2013. After the second one I just got to meet him really briefly outside, when he was signing autographs and taking pictures with fans, and that lasted like thirty seconds, haha.
The time I described above was in 2011 - he didn't come out after his play, so my mom and sister and I were wandering around the Village like forty-five minutes later trying to find a good place to eat. He wound up coming around the corner near us and I internally freaked and then stopped him to say hi (and then apologized for taking up his time, lmfao). That's when he stood and chatted with us about our trip. :) It was a seriously cool night, I felt really lucky.
Not sure how I feel about Segel doing this. I don't know who would be right for it, though. Maybe James McAvoy if he put on some weight. Or Ben Foster.
