How come none of the social-issue-friendly Republicans ever seem to run for president, let alone make nomination? There was an article once that listed some prominent Republications who were actually big proponents of gay rights, gender equality, pro-choice, etc. But why is it always the socially-conservative ones that make it, and not those who are simply conservative in other areas?
Because Republicans are generally fiscally and socially conservative whereas as the people you speak of, i.e., Libertarians, are socially liberal and fiscally conservative (generally call for a smaller gov't) are good in theory but their beliefs are contradictory and lose both sides.
Because they are pariahs in their own party. Thanks Fox.
Also, at this point, rme at people who consider themselves "fiscal conservative" lbr, the Republican ticket is not "fiscally conservative" anymore. Fiscally conservative means Fuck The Poor.
LOVE. I'm so over being sensitive to 'other people's opinions' at this point, but if you're a woman and you vote for Romney/Ryan, you're an absolute fucking moron.
