Jin Akanishi does it again: Tops the iTunes dance charts with his album debut JAPONICANA

Iconic Japanese multitalented beauty and ground-breaking U.S. crossover artist, Jin Akanishi has finally released his debut album named, "JAPONICANA". The name is a play on the words Japan and America, in combination with the Latin feminine suffix -NA, to celebrate ethnic diversity.
This album showcases dynamic beats and stirring lyrics in continuation of his recent highly successful #1
iTunes singles, “Test Drive featuring Jason Derulo” and "Sun Burns Down".
Multiple tracks in the album were produced by the Grammy Award-nominated trio, the Stereotypes, who have produced hit songs for acts such as Far East Movement and Ne-Yo.  Platinum hit- maker, Static Revenger, with artist credits from Madonna to Shakira, also has a hand in production work on the album.

It also features an avant-garde collaboration with original MC & rapper, Prophet, who currently has a deal with mega producer, RedOne.

“This album has songs from different genres,” states Akanishi, “I feel like this album has no boundaries, since you can’t really put all the tracks into one genre.  It’s a collection of music and sounds that I love.  The name of the album is a coinage of all the places that greatly influence me - Japan, America & Spain. I made up that word. It’s a combination of Japan and America, and the last part is taken from the Spanish “a” sound, which makes a noun feminine. So my album is a girl. I really want the album to have an international meaning. I hope my fans will enjoy it.”

Jin Akanishi's album "JAPONICANA" is available worldwide via digital download on ITunes, but also in
physical form in the States and Japan at retailers such as Best Buy.
Also, in a couple days, his US Tour will kick off. The JAPONICANA Tour dates and venues are listed below.
