Toby Regbo will star as Jim Hawkins in Sky1's 'Treasure Island'
Elijah Wood also joins as Ben Gunn
Elijah Wood has joined the cast of Sky1's adaptation of Treasure Island.
The Lord Of The Rings star will play Ben Gunn in the Robert Louis Stevenson buccaneering adventure, joining a stellar cast that has already started filming in Puerto Rico.
Toby Regbo, who will appear in the final Harry Potter film as Young Dumbledore, is cast in the lead role of Jim Hawkins, while Eddie Izzard plays the villain of the piece Long John Silver.
Other stars in the two-part drama include include Phillip Glenister (Ashes To Ashes, Life On Mars) as Captain Smollet, Rupert Penry-Jones (Spooks) as Squire Trelawney, Daniel Mays (Made In Dagenham) as Dr Livesey and David Harewood and Keith Allen as pirates Bones and Pew.
Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter) will play Hawkins's mother, while Nina Sosanya (Love Actually) is cast as Silver's wife.
Treasure Island, which is part of Sky's multi-million pound HD drama investment, will be broadcast at Christmas.
