Florence And The Machine's debut album 'Lungs' has finally topped the UK albums chart tonight (January 17) after spending 28 consecutive weeks in the Top 40.
Florence Welch and her band released the record in July 2009. It went in at Number Two, and stayed there for five weeks, being only held off from the top spot by a Michael Jackson compilation, which went to the top spot after the singer's death.
US indie band Vampire Weekend are the highest new entry at Three with their second album, 'Contra'. You Me At Six's 'Hold Me Down' goes in Number Five, while the hotly-tipped Delphic enter at Eight with their debut 'Acolyte'.
