MISS PLASTIC HUNGARY 2009
"Miss Plastic Hungary 2009" recently took place, claiming to be the first beauty pageant of its kind. Upon further Googling, it would appear that throughout China there have unsurprisingly been many events of this type... but this one has been a recent hit with the media for whatever reason.

Miss Plastic candidates were at least 18 years old and included a former rhythmic gymnast, a firefighter married to a police officer, a mother of three and several strippers. There was a special category for women over 30.
Pageant queen Reka Urban, a 22-year-old hostess, won an apartment in Budapest, first runner-up Edina Kulcsar was given a new car and second runner-up Alexandra Horvath took home diamond jewelry worth 2 million forints ($10,800). The winners' plastic surgeons also received awards.

Among the ever overbidding and confusingly diversified beauty contests now a unique novelty is born. The first competition that is not afraid to go with the flow. Here, women who had plastic surgery show the world that beauty operations are not the work of the devil, that they can be natural and tasteful, and that perfect beauty can be even more perfect.
Although it is still at the preparation stage, there is a worldwide media interest in the globe’s first ever beauty contest for women who had plastic surgery. The idea was presented by Hungarians, and the first contest will be held in Budapest, Hungary accordingly.
