We've obtained a video of Chris Brown telling his fans how sorry he is over the Rihanna assault. Brown says he wanted to apologize earlier but couldn't on the advice of his lawyer.
I get what you mean but I don't know how it can be perceived as wrong when he does not do what you think a guilty person should do. I mean, how should he have walked around?
If he did anything at all, his life still would have been resuming.
If anything, he should have disappeared but then people would assume he did it because he didn't want to own up to what he did.
I don't know, I just feel like people in the spotlight are branded forever when they do things, and even if they were sorry, no one would believe them.
Maybe, maybe not. But you can't just judge something based on your perceptions or suspicions as though it is indisputable fact.
We suspect he read from a cue card. It is possible he came up with the statement himself but wanted to stick to exactly what he wrote to avoid getting in legal trouble. Or his lawyer may have written something for him. Often times, people in cases like this are kept from saying things in a certain way, or things that give details of the case.
It doesn't mean he is remorseless, nor does it mean that because we'd like him to give us another reason to hate him, that he has no sense of right and wrong.
My first thought was, "I hope he just left an anger management class." I think it makes him look retarded, really, but I wonder why he was with them. It's only natural for someone who hates the guy to assume he's just being a douchenugget.
He's not going to stay 10 yards away from every woman for the rest of his life. Cop or anything else.
He's with some strong women in that picture, and I'm hoping it means that he's learning something.
You can't just assume he's always got a sinister motive to every single story that gets in the papers.
Well, I'm sure his career is important to him, I can't blame him.
But it doesn't mean that what you see him doing is all that he is doing.
Just be optimistic! You're so angry. :( The damage has been done and can't be undone. All we can do is wait and see what colors he shows in the future.
Actually, most men who hit women, or even sexually assault don't go to jail or get any significant punishment the first time.
I don't think it's Chris's celebrity, I think it's the fact that this is a common occurrence in the legal system.
Yes, I'm angry too. But seriously, pictures and text isn't enough to know what is going on in his life. Anyone can type this crap and pictures can be misleading. Not to mention what fuming over the situation can do to your judgment.
Well technically we hadn't been going back and forth for a week. You waited for another Chris Brown post with him looking douche-y to respond to my most recent comment to you, a few days later.
I don't really want your mind to change about Chris Brown, so don't feel I'm trying to prove you "wrong." I don't know him any more personally than you do.
I just think that when we shove people with serious issues aside, they only get worse. I've noticed that when people have someone in their corner expecting more of them, they tend to feel like the fight is more worth it.
When you meet people who have a horrible reputation, and you see them occasionally being nice, but people still treat them based on their reputation, they feel less inclined to be a good person.
That's all. I'm not saying what Chris is or isn't. But I think if we expect better out of people, we will get better.
