Joaquin Phoenix is removed by security from his own gig

Adding yet another incident to his run of bizarre behaviour, Joaquin Phoenix was dragged away by security from his own gig, after diving into the audience to confront a man.

The Oscar nominated actor, who announced his retirement from the film world to pursue a career in hip hop, jumped off stage during a performance at a Miami club, to confront a member of the audience.

The incident reportedly took place shortly after Phoenix took to the stage at 2am. He began to rap, illegibly attendees reported, when a man in the crowd started to heckle.

Turning to the crowd, Phoenix then shouted, 'We have a (double-expletive) in the audience,' before diving in to confront the man in question.

Security quickly intervened, dragging him from the crowds.

A fellow attendee told reporters, 'I saw the guy screaming at Joaquin, and Joaquin just came down.'

This is just the latest in a run of strange behaviour from Phoenix. During an interview with Dave Letterman last month, the former actor appeared aloof, speaking in monosyllables, whilst chewing gum and mumbling the occasional response that was hardly decipherable.

Now speculation is rising that Phoenix's actions could all be part of an elaborate hoax.

His brother in law, Casey Affleck, has been filming the Walk the Line actor for a documentary, and has been on hand to capture all of the most bizarre episodes.
