"Slumdog Millionaire" director Danny Boyle has revealed to MTV News that he is not interested in remaking Chan-wook Park's Korean film "Lady Vengeance."

"I've seen the movie. I've seen [Park's] 'Oldboy' and 'Lady Vengeance,'" said Boyle. "But no I was never going to do that. I don't know where that story came from."

So where did that story come from? Oh yeah, it came from Boyle. Just under two months ago, the director spoke to Empire magazine, telling them that he has been asked to do a remake of "Lady Vengeance" and that he thought it was time to do a film with a woman as the central character.

The original Korean film in question follows a falsely accused young woman after she is incarcerated for murder, only to be released and sent on a mission of revenge against the people who framed her.
