Torchwood's former showrunner runs Law and Order: UK and there's barely an overlap between shooting. I doubt there's a problem at all.

They may have plucked her from obscurity, but they also fucked her over with that dopey unrequited-love storyline.

And seeing how her and Donna were treated like crap when Saint Rose was back in the finale could have made her not really want to keep being Dr Jones.

Torchwood is crap, but so is ITV. And a UK version of Law and Order? British police shows are terrible, what are they thinking!

I don't like it as much as everyone else does, but the appeal in that was from the situation, not the fact it was about the police/law.
