Harry Potter movie has 'sexual energy', says Radcliffe
Daniel Radcliffe has claimed that Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince has "sexual energy" and moments which are comparable to cult film Trainspotting.
The director of the sixth film in the franchise, David Yates, told Empire magazine that the movie would be the "sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll" instalment.
However, Radcliffe joked about the comments in a special preview of the movie, also in Empire magazine.
"Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll? Thanks, David, that's a comment I'll have to fend off for months," Radcliffe said.
"There's obviously no sex in the book, it's all subtext, but there is a fair amount of sexual energy and there are some drug parallels.
"We have a couple of what David calls our 'Trainspotting moments'.
He went on to say that the new film strikes a good balance between the gradually-darkening tone of the novels and the scope for comedy as Harry grows older.
A signed set of first edition Harry Potter books recently sold at auction for £17,800.
