Just call it Flashdance, country style.
At the
ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night,
Taylor Swift performed her song "Should've Said No" while dancing in a cascade of water pouring from the ceiling.
"I've dreamt about that performance since I was in middle school," the 18-year-old singer says on her
MySpace Celebrity page.
"I've always wanted to perform an angry song and have water rain down from the ceiling and have a little freakout onstage."
Swift and awards show producers rigged up the "rain" performance as a surprise for her fans.
"Oh, and the water was like 40 degrees. So cold," she adds.
Earlier in the night, Swift
won the award for top new female vocalist and thanked her fans on her blog.
"Honestly I didn't expect to come away with an award, and I have you to thank for all of the things you've done to support me. You're the reason my album is 3x platinum. You're the reason the concerts sell out. You're the reason I'm able to be out here in Vegas."
Swift also talks about meeting
Nicole Kidman, who was in the crowd supporting husband
Keith Urban at the show.
"Nicole Kidman is so incredibly gracious and friendly, and gets the 'Most Beautiful in Person' award. Hands down."
