THANK YOU! Just watched it and don’t get the hype. The story wasn’t groundbreaking, honestly formulaic and boring at points. She was good, but not phenomenal. I guess we’re still at the point that when an actress takes off her clothes multiple times in a movie and plays a sex worker, it means her performance is award worthy. I’m also always so judgy on New York accents and sometimes hers wasn’t New Yorking properly for me. Call me crazy.

Legit question was Anora supposed to be a dramedy? Because the acting in it was comically bad at times and try hard. I watched it and it didn’t envoke any strong emotions like people make it out to be.
