If this is true, he should be held responsible.

Knowing he owns the rights to the sequel and she wanted to make this franchise her vanity project has me unfortunately skeptical.

I'll wait for more information.

ETA: The suit claims the demands were embraced and approved by the studio, but in the end the film flopped, in part because of a huge conflict over how it would be marketed.

The movie absolutely did not flop, what is she talking about??

Critically flopped. There was always speculation that Blake thought this would finally get her awards recognition.

Messsss.

But I feel like given how much about the behind-the-scenes stuff did leak, this would have, too? And why was RR going to set meetings?! If the studio knew some of this stuff, why didn't they demand more changes like pulling Baldoni off even if he was a producer or at least trying to? Why didn't she throw a fit when this happened? I mean, if she was harassed, that's terrible and he should be held accountable / blacklisted from the industry, but some of the stuff that she's accusing him of was her and RR's unforced errors, and if they could force Baldoni to sell the rights to the sequel to them, they would be winners financially by FAR. It's just weird and IDK.

Yeah, I don't buy it.

I personally find it bizarre that her lawsuit is going with the angle that Baldoni apparently has enough power and influence to bury her when she and her husband have considerably more power, influence and money in their industry.

IF true, it’s more about his ability to ruin her reputation. Which is easy enough to do to women.

Waiting on this too! The filing is from her perspective so I would like to see what else they allege that the summary leaves out.

Court docs are public, you just need the case number the view online. It ain’t that serious to pay for it, lol.

Never trust a white feminist either. I don’t care for him… but she’s not reliable either.

never trust someone that got married on a plantation, has been a notorious set problem her entire career, does not have the backing of the crew on this movie, and has brought no proof of either of these statements to the filing.

Honestly I usually get on the woman's side whenever lawsuits like this are launched but it's hard not to be skeptical when last time her team claimed he had been fatphobic towards her because he inquired about her weight so that he can train his broken back to do a piggy backing scene.

I'll wait for more news / actual trial because it feels to me quite retaliatory - because RR and BL started a smear campaign against him four months ago and it backfired on them. On top of that RR tried to buy the rights to the sequel from JB but he refused.

Now if it's all true and he was inappropriate, then I'll be the first to admit I was wrong to be skeptical.

My point was that her team claimed it was fatshaming when it clearly wasn't. It didn't help that the interview where Blake fatshamed the reporter (while promoting a Woody Allen movie) was released right after - which made her look like a massive hypocrite.
