A second season of The Penguin is being discussed

Matt Reeves revealed that he has talked to Penguin showrunner Lauren LeFranc about doing a second season.

I loved this show but if the reason they're discussing this is because the rumors about The Batman 2 being DOA are true then they can keep it.

And Greig Fraser isn't the DP for Dune: Messiah supposedly because he is committed to The Batman 2 which will be shooting at the same time.

People need to stop believing fake rumors that have no basis in reality. The Batman was the highest grossing and most critically acclaimed movie WB released in 2022. No way is David Zaslav going to "cancel" the sequel, especially after the way the Penguin was such a huge success.

It took Matt Reeves 3 years to write The Batman. He won't be rushed. There was never any legitimate doubt that The Batman 2 would happen, and now it has its original cinematographer back. All good news.

Shouldn't they focus on getting The Batman *and Catwoman* 2 off the ground?

Reeves said he wants to shoot it next year. The Penguin season 2 probably wouldn’t come until after.

They are. It should begin shooting outside of London in May/June, according to UK Production Weekly yesterday. Reeves takes his time with the script.
