I’ve kind of been putting this show on and half paying attention this season. I’m so confused as to why they spent half the show building up Nandor/Guillermo only for nothing to happen and then it’s essentially forgotten about in the final season. I haven’t watched this ep so idk if the last two will return to it but idk why they’ve made the choices they have.
IIRC the showrunner has said he doesn't like Nandermo but like, why did you spend almost the entire series acting as if you were building up to it?! If they weren't both queer, I'm sure there would be many angry thinkpieces about whether or not it was queerbaiting.
But to think [Spoiler (click to open)]The Righteous Gemstones (spoiler for a certain HBO comedy title) had their queer shipped couple become canon while WWDITS kept wink winking at it for six years for nothing LMAO. I mention these two because there was a Pajiba article comparing Nandermo to this couple, who did indeed become canon. The comments section in this article is all "WWDITS will confirm it soon!" and obvs never did.
This! It’s just bad storytelling to spend most of the show building up to something and then to just dissolve all of that without directly addressing it. I personally did like them but even if they weren’t going to end up together, at least directly resolve it.
Looking back Colin Robinson is the highlight of the show. They managed to keep the writing for him good and didn't flip flop around like they did with the others.
I am gonna wait for the last episode to be out before I catch up on the last few. I heard the last few episodes are better, but this season overall has just been terrible for a finale. It's like nobody gives a shit anymore.
this season has felt a bit aimless story-wise, but also the gags haven't been funny which to me was always the strength of the show. laszlo's "swag" and the bat!/baseball bat bit were the only laugh-out-loud moments for me.
Guess I'm in the minority here, I've enjoyed this season and the last episode with the Warriors homage and Colin Robinson pissing off everyone with his comments and puns throughout the episode was probably my favorite of the whole series.
I've enjoyed it too. People here have been complaining about it since like s2/s3 though. Bunch of buzzkills, so pay no mind, the show is as hilarious as ever.
