How many episodes do they make and how many weeks does that take? Because right now three thousand a month doesn't sound awful.

3 grand an episode so if they had a month of new ones that’s 12,000 bucks which would be awesome.

EDIT: it looks like a full season is 21 episodes which is 63,000 a season.

$63,000 gross and then they have to pay taxes, their agent and manager. It’s not terrible but for NYC, it’s not big money. They must have to hustle during the off weeks and over the summer to supplement their incomes.

Yeah this is nothing in NYC especially for being on a huge show that has been around for so long

Yeah but they only make like 21 episodes a year. It’s not a lot annually, esp for living in nyc.

Right. Rent, utilities, groceries, phone bill, the works. What if you have meds to pay for? Students loans to pay back? And how much is taken for taxes, how much of a percentage does your agent get? Like nah. That’s not enough. Rent and food in NYC alone are sky high.

If you're making scale wages (which I assume featured players are), the company pays scale + 10% to cover agent fees. You pay the 10% yourself when you start making "over-scale" wages. So that's at least some relief for newcomers.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus grew up a billionaire so I don’t really think $75 was out of her budget.

I was just wondering how much SNL pays. Guess not enough if the cast is in numerous commercials for other stuff as well.
