Deserved. I must say, if you don't like Beyonce, her singles are by far her weakest work. She's mad eit more cohesive with her later albums but she is 100% a sit down and experience her albums kind of artist

Controversial opinion that I didn't have 2 years ago (until a revisit), but I think "4" is her strongest and most cohesive album.

"B-Day" was my number 1 forever. I did jump on the "Lemonade" train for a while. I even had "Renaissance" on repeat for 2 years+ and still play most of it, but that is the album for me, I think.

4 isn't my favorite as a whole album (Renaissance and Self titled are my fav. as album listening) but it has some of my favorite songs (I care is still untouchable to me)

I think because I was going through a very, very toxic relationship and prolonged break-up when I revisited '4'... it just hit harder. That album has some dark songs.

"I'd rather not live at ALL(!!!!) than spend my life without you."

And obviously, like you mentioned... 'I Care.'

I used to sob and listen to this album.

oops, i was actually thinking about countdown. the single ladies choreo was HEAVILY inspired by bob fosse but beyonce did credit him.

either way, you're right that single ladies was a Moment™ unlike anything taylor could hope to achieve.
