He was making extremely graphic sexual comments on camera?

What does he say when the cameras aren’t rolling?

Men who make these "jokes" know that they're not actually jokes - and they don't intend them to be. They intend them to be for shock value in order to put people they see as 'lesser' in their place and to test the boundaries of the people around them.

You’ve hit the nail on the head. Also, they tend to then say that “it was only a joke” when pulled up on it 🙄

It wasn't sexual related and it wasn't anyone famous, but a guy I considered a friend one time made a terrible joke about me deserving my potentially deadly allergy to fire ants (I can't remember how it went but it wasn't even funny), and I told him privately that I personally don't like people joking about that, especially when it was about me DESERVING it, and he said, "It was a joke, why are you so sensitive?" and went on and on about cancel culture and how I was trying to censor him.

He is 100% no longer a friend, but once I did get the chance to tell him how much that shit hurt me and he still acted like it was my fault I didn't get the joke. It. Wasn't. Even. Funny. I realized later on he was using it to punch down at me and he was merely using me. I wasn't his friend even if I thought he was mine.

I mainly know him from Inside the Factory, which is the goofiest, most lighthearted show, so this is particularly weird. And yet not surprising, bc men!! 😒
