I just started watching Dexter for the first time (on S6....but 8 seasons...lord) and I dont see why we needed a prequel series. We got PLENTY of flashbacks to young Dexter and this doesnt seem to add anything to the lore...its the same setting. Same exact characters. Just younger.

Its like A Pup Named Scooby Doo.

There's really no need for this, we know how/why he became a serial killer.

Also, brace yourself because the last seasons were not good. lol The show peaked with season 4.

Yeah I don’t see the point of this at all, it would make more sense to just completely reboot and have it as a fresh show entirely, but this just seems like such a halfhearted prequel where all anyone is going to do is compare the characters to the originals

Never watched Dexter. Don't get why we need this.

But it as Patrick Gibson so I will probably watch and be mad that I will never get my Shadow and Bone season 3.
