Leighton is my second fave and I'm so sad to see her go:'( But I'm liking how they're setting up her exit. Renee looks reallllly hot this season 🔥

I like this show but Leighton leaving is really messing with my interest tbh, she was one of my favorites.

Glad it's back! Haven't watched yet, but will get to it as soon as I can.

I do think there must be a pretty dire threat of cancellation, because the creatives from the show I follow on SM have all been like "watch it! watch it now! tell your friends!!" in a way I don't remember previously. It's weird, because I thought it was doing well for Max?

This show is entertaining but I can't believe they're just now sophomores when it's Season 3 and half the cast is in their 30s.

Also is Mekki Leeper still on the show or is Bella going to get another BJ Novak stand-in nerdy white love interest who'll be mean to her before inevitably falling for her?

Mekki Leeper is a regular on St. Denis Medical now, so I don’t know if we will see him again. Then again, production for a lot of shows was out of whack due to the strikes so it’s possible that he was able to shoot both (like Midori shooting S3 of this and Grey’s Anatomy).

ETA: the internet says that St. Denis filmed from April through September of this year and S3 of TSLOCG was filmed from March through June.

Some Bela stuff doesn't make sense. Like the fact that her 1.8 GPA wouldn't immediately get her tossed out of what is basically an Ivy League school? Maybe I'm just giving them more weight than they should get, but I would imagine they would toss the (non-money) students out quick.

Also, they showed a little bit of each one of the girls' parents in some aspect or another except for Bela. And I'm PRETTY damned sure that Bela's parents, of all the parents, would be up in her ASS about flaming out her first year the way that she did. They don't even get mentioned about ripping into her during the summer or any of that.

Most colleges don't kick you out after one bad semester. Usually if you have a disastrous GPA (below 2.0), they will put you on academic probation for the following semester.

If you are below a 2.0 again the next semester, they will often do something like an academic review where they have you meet with a counselor. The small college I attended that was similar to Essex had a faculty board that you would go before to explain how you managed to fuck up for two semesters in a row and if you had a reasonable explanation, they would give you one more semester to get your shit together.

If you somehow fail for a third semester in a row, they will either recommend that you change your major (since you clearly aren't making progress towards it), tell you to take a hiatus, or flat out suspend you for a semester.

I see. I kinda got the vibe that Bela bombed both semesters, personally, since she was too busy having sex (not that there's anything wrong with that) or working on her comedy stuff, but it could have just been a semester!
