I liked it and I also hate them already so they are doing a good job I wonder how it will proceed considering it takes place like 10,000 years before the events of Dune so obviously it can't have a proper pay off.

Also, considering DUNE takes place 10,000 years later, it's weird how they already hint at similar issues all the way back. 10,000 is a long time, we lost so much from history in just 2,000 years, how can they still deal with the same issues 10,000years later.

It's also too visually similar to the movies. I mean consider how much our society has changed in a fraction of that time, yet the Reverend Mothers are still wearing the same headdress 10,000 years later??

I haven't seen any of the movies because I can't stand Timothy Swiss Chalet and I think Zendaya is a shit actress. But I've been wanting to check this out because I do find the overall story of Dune super interesting.

dune 2 was truly a flop, the sand dunes acted better than those two

I seriously don't get all the acclaim those two get overall. I've seen clips of both in various things and they're middling at best? Zendaya has like two emmys and I watch the clips going "ehhhh?"

I hate to say it, but it's because she's willowy and beautiful, and Law Roach's styling does a lot of heavy lifting for her brand/reputation.

He's essentially the male version but he has pretentious artsy-ness going for him, instead of Law Roach.

I keep reading this as how Dune has ties with The Penguin and I refuse to accept otherwise.

I really liked it! The sword master and princess storyline was cringe though because they have no chemistry. It felt like a CW pairing lol

I was a little confused by the show but I love Emily Watson and Olivia Williams so I’m going to stick with it.
