Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you craft, it’s essential to one’s survival! Dear God, please don't let my nephew find out about this. Amen.

Although my nephew (age 7) created his one one-boy role-playing game outside where he collects sticks for points and uses an imaginary sword to kill imaginary creepers so good for him, our future LARPer.

I should add, this means it is super easy to entertain him. I got him a little wheelbarrow one year for Christmas and when I'm at my parents with him, the wheelbarrow comes out and he gets to go pick up sticks for imaginary points. My dad has offloaded several around the yard jobs to a seven year old.

I am bothered by the block size inconsistencies, but the chicken farm with the lava really caught my eye.

Also, there's SO MUCH in Minecraft, why'd they go and invent a blue portal. Or the clear block with a glowing blue block inside.

Because they need movie-specific merch to sell!

tbf none of the existing minecraft merch could be used for the movie because it's so vastly different from the game, and the scale is all wrong too
