Maintenance Phase did an episode on her and what piece of work she is!

I used to work in the fitness industry and it made me hate wellness culture with a fiery passion. So many grifters.

Out of all the schemes this has to be one of the wilder ones. Even if you factor in the naivety of the early days of social media, you were still quite exposed and vulnerable. How did she not think she would get caught down the line?? She got off way too easily, when you think of all the victims that died as a result of her scheme. And it seems that she's learned absolutely nothing from this. Last I heard she was trying to scheme her way into an Ethiopian community in Australia.

i really think with people who are such pathological liars the behavior is ultimately driven by something deeper than just material gain. like obviously they DO also want material gain and i am not in any way trying to minimize the harm they do but like… idk.

Is that girl from that meme of that interview?
Yall know the one “ you had an inoperable brain tumor, a stroke, you died on the operating table twice…is that correct?” “Yes”

If it’s not her, that’s the next movie I’m waiting for. Anyway, I’ll watch this. Looks good. Hope it doesn’t catapult her into fame like inventing Anna.

Thanks! It took way too much digging for me to figure it out last night.

I can't fucking stand people like this. They do so much damage to people who believe them. Working in an OR that handles major cancer cases, we've had a small handful of patients who would have had good prognosis if they had opted for surgery/other treatment upon diagnosis, but chose to follow bullshit advice like this. By the time they get to us, the cancer has already spread so far there is no hope. And I'm not against the wellness aspect of things! I do believe diets and such can aid in a cancer journey in conjunction to medical treatment! But I still hope there is a hell so charlatans like this can rot in it.

My husband is friends with one of the doctors who tried to treat Steve Jobs. He was frustrated to say the least.

It's frustrating and incredibly sad just being an OR nurse. I can't even imagine from a physician standpoint.
