At this point I should have entered. 😂. And drunk white girls think I look like Jason Derulo. And non-white gays think I look like Daryl Stephen’s from Noah’s Arc. 😭. Can’t escape it.

I mean, these contests are are fad at the moment and most people just enter them for shits and giggles, not because they have striking resemblance to the subject.

Those contests work best when the subject is a little unusual looking. Zayn is simply a very good looking dude. Unless there was a bunch of male models in the area then yeah, it won't be too impressive.

This type of thing has been going on since at least the 90s, but they used to have them in dive bars and people would throw ice and cheer or boo at people. This is wholesome and good humor.

edit: Got into a conversation with an elder about this who told me when Saturday Night Fever was really popular they used to have Tony Manero (John Travolta's character) lookalike contests in discos, and that was late 70s. I'll bet if you talked to Boomers and Silents they would probably remember this sort of thing in their heydey as well.

I think you're right and it does work better for people that aren't just Hollywood good looking. This and the Timothy Chalamet one seemed boring but I was all about the Jeremy Allen White one, because he is more unique looking.

Years ago a friend pointed out there is a photo of Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood where she is wearing a giant lion hat and it literally is a 100% match with my face lmao. It's weird because we don't really resemble each other without the hat, but with the hat it's uncanny.

If you just add a crimped mop of brown hair it's me.

I mean I think some of genx is into it BC it's when they grew up and obviously genzee is all about it. I just hate the unflattering cuts and that it's ugly on purpose. I like looking cute.
